Obtaining a Police Check and Working With Children Check to volunteer with Youth Inc.

Thanks for offering to volunteer with Youth Inc.

As required by law and insurance, and because we care about the safety and wellbeing of students, staff and volunteers, we require you to undertake a:

  • Department of Human Services (DHS) Working with Children Check

  • South Australian (SA) Police Record Check

  • Sign the Youth Inc. Volunteer Code of Conduct

These checks are undertaken specifically in connection to your volunteering with us and must be completed and received by us before we can allow you to work alongside our students.

In recognition of your volunteering, these checks are offered at no financial cost to you. However, it does require a bit of time and organisation on your part to bring together the relevant documents and information. Thanks in advance for your persistence with systems outside of our control.

To begin the process for the DHS Working with Children Check, please:

  • Please email kelly.bunyon@youthinc.org.au with your:

    • Full name

    • Date of birth

    • Email address
