Meet The Team

Kylie agnew

Educational Psychologist

Kylie is our in-house educational psychologist. With degrees in both education and psychology, she assists our young people and staff to discover how to maximise their potential. When not at Youth Inc., Kylie can be found at her other job, spending time with her family, or out for a walk.

Alex Bruhn

Community Builder

Alex’s superpower is ‘community building’, and this is pretty obvious when you consider that she works with an array of other youth-driven, human centered organisations, as well as attending numerous conferences. When she’s not flat-out with all of the above, she’s dancing, or spending time with her daughter Maisey - even though Maisey is at school now, and obviously too cool to hang out with her mum.

Jodie Duncan

VET Coordinator

Jodie loves nothing more than seeing our young people flourish. As a qualified trainer, she knows the opportunities that learning-through-doing can bring. Jodie runs our Certificate III in Business, and she’s a gun at creating an environment that helps students see the connections. On the weekends, you can usually find Jodie at the local footy club - go the mighty Valley Vikings!

Hope Gardner

Learning Manager

One of our Learning Managers, Hope wants to push the boundaries of ‘conventional education’. She has a passion for helping young people tap into their grit to ‘do the thing’. Her background has equipped her with the experience and knowledge needed to assist young people in almost any situation. Hope loves crochet, sewing and updating us on her house’s construction.

Sarah Keane

Production Team Coodinator

With a keen eye for artistry, and boundless experience in the creative fields, Sarah brings a spark to all things Youth Inc. Starting out as our “artist in residence”, Sarah helps students unlock their creative potential, and teaches them new techniques to create something beautiful.

Wellbeing Manager

Judy is passionate about embedding skills to support psychological health, wellbeing and resilience into education settings. With a background in education, Judy is passionate about removing barriers and creating safe spaces for learning, so that all Youth Inc. students are able to explore their unique contributions, and create a life that matters to them. When she is not at Youth Inc., you’ll find her walking her dog with the family, or revegetating native bushland spaces.

Jonty Mansueto

With a degree and background in psychology, Jonty is our ‘go-to’ when it comes to navigating sticky situations. His natural ability to calm any situation and come up with viable solutions is imperative to the wellbeing of the young people at Youth Inc. Jonty loves dogs, snacks and live music - in that order.

Denise Nolasco

Administration Support Wizard

Denise is a well-loved member of our administration team. Her admin and organisational skills are a natural talent, and her keen eye for the potential of our learning spaces ensures that our young people always start the day in a welcoming environment. When not at Youth Inc., Denise can usually be found getting a coffee, tending to her plants or doing some graphic design.

Carrie Phillis

Learning Manager

Carrie is one of our Learning Managers, and our resident foodie. With a keen eye for the potential of young people, knowledge of SACE requirements, and contacts within the community, she is an irreplaceable part of our team. When she’s not here, she’s cooking breakfast, perfecting her sourdough, testing recipes, or playing netball.

Riley Sabey

Learning Manager

Riley is committed to using her teaching degree to create learning spaces that create the ability for young people to achieve their best. She is passionate about uncovering and fostering student aspirations, talents and inspirations, and providing an environment to put these into action. When she has the chance, she’s rating brunch locations across Adelaide, hanging with her dog, Archie, or at the cricket.

Susie Bennett

Life Coach

Susie is one of our life coaches; her ability to create a safe, nurturing space is crucial to the wellbeing of our students. Whether it’s in a one-on-one session or a passing conversation, the Youth Inc. community holds Susie’s advice in high regard. Susie is passionate about personal development; enjoys bushwalking, and spending time with her kids.

Kelly Bunyon

Deputy Principal
Operational Manager

Kelly is the ultimate all-rounder, being both a qualified lawyer and teacher. She joined us here at Youth Inc. to ensure that we create an environment that is safe, and where life, learning and employment goals can be achieved. She's very excited about being a part of seeing young people express and develop their strengths and skills. In her free time, she loves getting her quilting on, enjoying dinners with friends, and spending time at the beach with her beautiful family.

Alannah Field

Administration Assistant

Alannah is an absolute administration whiz. A Youth Inc. graduate, we knew that we couldn’t let her empathy, talent for organisation, and research skills just slip through our hands. She also has a pretty sweet knack for helping people sort through their challenges. We have no idea what we did without her! Alannah enjoys getting away to the Yorke Peninsula to relax with a cup of coffee and a good book.

Fred Heidt

Fred has a vision... of a place where young people are valued for who they are. Nothing's wrong, nothing to fix. A place where they can (re)discover their own unique talents, and how to make the most of them in the context of a life that matters. Fred is passionate about human potential and the power of self-efficacy and he leads a team of equally passionate, talented and committed professionals. If he's not at Youth Inc., you'll probably find him on the golf course.

Rose Lacoon Williamson

Business Development Manager

Rose is keen to establish long lasting partnerships with businesses around Adelaide. Her passion for seeing young people thrive, mixed with her impressive business background, makes her an invaluable member of our team. As our Work Venture team leader, Rose keeps everything running smoothly.

Nia Lewis

Co-design Facilitator

It's pretty hard to find someone as passionate about young people as Nia. In her own words, she is inspired daily by the raw energy, beauty and brilliance of youth! With experience in enterprise projects, along with a Masters in Community Regeneration, she's currently undertaking a PhD at UniSA, and is a massive asset. In her spare time, she loves dancing in the kitchen with her kids, making art, writing poems and dying her hair all the colours of the rainbow.

Mana Nankivell

Finance Facilitator

Mana is the backbone of everything we do here at Youth Inc. She quietly and efficiently brings everything together. It's easy to see that Mana really enjoys seeing a lasting positive change take place in people, and believes wholeheartedly in the importance of helping young people find their place in the world. Mana is also capable of running for days, plays the piano, is a beautiful choir singer and rides a pretty awesome motorbike.

Michelle Richards

Learning Curator

Michelle is passionate about the transformative nature of education in a young person's life, and has an incredible amount of expertise in SACE and Senior Secondary Education. She is extremely well qualified in Science, Education and training. Combine this with her love of keeping fit, watching house reno shows, and spending family time at the beach, and you get both a valuable team member and an awesome person to be around!

Sam Scudds

Learning Manager

Sam’s pretty new to the education game, but he does know that he loves watching people grow and learn. With a PE and Health background, Sam loves Youth Inc.’s experiential ethos, and loves adventure. Speaking of adventure, Sam’s recently become a dad!

Ben Trewren

Experiential Learning Manager

There's nothing that gets Ben more excited than the chance to generate new experiences and opportunities for young people. With a wealth of experience in community and international development projects, Ben has an unrelenting passion to generate real-world opportunities of personal and social change for young people. Ben is also a keen mountain biker, paddler and bushwalker, loves the Essendon Bombers and finds it very hard to pass up a Farmers Union Iced Coffee.
