History (CRG)
The founders of youthinc, the Chapley family have a long and proud history in retail and property development in South Australia. This sense of helping others is traced back to a particularly difficult period in post World War II Europe, when our patriarchs, Nick and John Chapley learnt what it meant to receive help.
Youthinc believes that if you are in a position to help others, then you should. That is what drives us at youthinc today.
Youthinc is what we call a ‘long-term commitment’. It represents a new and effective way to deal with such a large and growing social problem being ‘our lost youth’. In today’s society, so many young people are disconnected from school, work or family, leaving them very few prospects for the future.
Founders Kate and Spero Chapley from CRG (Commerical Retail Group) started Youthinc as a way to help the growing number of disenfranchised and disillusioned youth. They realised that if these youth could be placed in long term employment, the chances of being able to address other social issues would be much easier. The philosophy of youthinc is to place them into work… Then we go to work on them.
